Genora Givens
BOARD MEMBER
Genora (she/her) was born and raised in Oakland and is thrilled to serve on the Board of Just Homes. Genora has five years of experience in environmental philanthropy, working with the Packard Foundation to identify and implement justice and equity initiatives and designing programs to support Black and Indigenous led grassroots environmental justice organizations. Prior to her work in philanthropy, Genora conducted research on the impacts of US oil and gas production on water quality and quantity for Clean Water Action and served as an environmental educator with Earth Force in Washington DC and Northern Virginia.
Genora holds a B.A. in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Willamette University and a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Environment. She serves on the Associated Alumni Board at Yale. Most importantly, Genora loves wandering East Bay Regional Parks and dancing and performing with her beloved Popstar Booty Camp group.
