Hannah Rowntree

Hannah (she/her) is a racial equity advocate who leads transformative initiatives to empower under-resourced communities, specializing in advancing equitable electric mobility strategies, capacity building, and providing technical assistance for climate capital projects. Her commitment to equity and environmental justice energizes her to contribute to substantive policy solutions, fostering community partnerships, and developing thought leadership in the pursuit of a just future.
Her role as the Capacity Building Fellow at The Greenlining Institute merged policy analysis with community advocacy to drive equitable climate action. Her team with Greenlining the Block, leveraged federal and local investments, fostering a sustainable future for communities of color. She helped bridge gaps between complex policies and accessible understanding, advancing clean transportation initiatives through the Towards Equitable Electric Mobility Community of Practice.
At the intersection of communication and social change and as Co-Founder of R.E.C.CLAIM UTAH, she applies a racial equity lens to dismantle barriers to outdoor recreation for Queer, Trans, Black, and Indigenous Women of Color, emphasizing rest, education, and joy. Her hands-on experience in project management, content development, and stakeholder engagement has cultivated lasting partnerships, enhancing outdoor accessibility in Utah County for her community.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and experience in marketing from Utah Valley University, she enjoys leading communications, marketing, and media relations campaigns for various nonprofits supporting the communities she cares about.
