BOARD MEMBER
Vlad (he/him) is an Afro-Latinx immigrant, whose lived experience gave way to a keen awareness of the legacy of white supremacy as a root cause of oppression. From police violence to the deportation pipeline, the challenges that exist today for people of color were made by design and require collective undoing. Collective liberation guides Vlad's work as a transformative people-centered non-profit leader with a history of leading successful advocacy campaigns with multi-sector stakeholders. He is effective at articulating vision, translating it into an executable strategy, and driving cross-functional teams to deliver results. Vlad brings eight years of experience working in political campaigns, labor unions and non-profits. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and Public Policy from Rutgers University.
Vlad currently serves as Deputy Director of External Affairs at CHIRLA, spearheading organizing, coalition-building, and strategizing in service of labor, immigration and climate justice.
